Crash Test

Exhibition Visual Identity

Visual identity and applications for a theoretical exhibition at the Vitra Design Museum, featuring work by Polish design duo Syfon Studio. With a body of work that both acknowledges and subverts Polish design history, the studio situates itself at the collision point of tradition and revolution. The concept of a crash test emerged as an effective visual solution to set the stage for an exhibition of their work, expressed through explosions of distorted letters, asterisks and dashed lines. In particular, I wanted to find a visual identity that could interact with the museum's unique architecture, which also expressed concepts of collision, distortion and fragmentation. The end result was a visual language that remained nimble and flexible across a wide variety of applications.
